How to: Petition Papers

A petition drives the intent behind your spell, and a petition paper is where you’ll state that intention. Sounds simple enough, but there is a very specific way petition papers are written.

For spells involving two people (love spells, breakup spells, etc).

Write one person’s name 3 times in a row. It’s best to write their full name, if you know it.

Turn your paper 90 degrees, and write the second person’s name 3 times in a row, on top of the other name. Keep in mind that whoever’s name on top will be considered the “dominant” party. So if this is a love spell, you probably want your name on top!

Next, choose your petition. Write your chosen phrase in a circle around the two names. Traditionally, this is done in cursive, so as not to lift the pen from the paper. If you’re unable to do this, don’t worry. Just make sure your phrase forms a complete circle around the names.

A finished petition for love.

For spells involving one person (healing, banishing, beauty, empowerment, etc).

Write the target’s name 3 times. Again, full names are best if you know them.

Turn the paper 90 degrees, and write your petition 3 times, on top of the names, in capital letters.

…And that’s it!

The best petitions are short and sweet
